After a remarkable season where Liverpool contended for the title after two decades, Rodgers is believed to have agreed terms with Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group to sign a new deal. Although the final terms of the contract are unclear, he is expected to sign a new contract shortly after the Premier League season ends on Sunday.

Liverpool play Newcastle United in their final match and still have a chance of winning the title despite their disappointing recent results. Rodgers recently praised the owners for their faith in him, saying “I would like to thank the owners and the executive team for what they have done for me since I have been here. They brought a young manager of 39 into one of the biggest clubs in the world and gave me the chance to develop the vision of football that I have. If it wasn’t for their faith in me I probably wouldn’t be here given the pressures of modern football.”
